Can i ask, how did you boot into 64 bit mode? What commands did you enter? because its not working for me even though my CPU is 64bit enabled. Thanks

With (mach_kernel_32) just use the flags: npci=0x3000-force64 the system keeps stable even after a long time. Only 32-bit apps do not open. But 64-bit apps work perfectly! Sorry for the bad English, I'm Brazilian |

Mh I downloaded the latest IOUSBFamaly (1163). Mass Storage works again YOHO! But still I can not boot with -force64. Without it everything is like it was with Kernel V4. Itunes, Textedit and the other apps crash after a few minutes, orginal Finder dont work.
Here is a screenshot of booting with -force64: Last edited by ryman; 05-01-2012 at 05:42 PM. |

@aaqib7
felipeunix is running the osx on his AMD Bulldozer FX 8120 which supports the SSSE3 instructions that's why he can run the 64-bits apps @felipeunix AFAIK (CMIIW) the -force64 has not been implemented in the legacy kernel yet and since you have the FX series AMD, by default you're running the osx in the 64-bits mode (with / without arch=x86_64) @ryman I got same issues here After several minutes, the annoying xpchelper crashes are still occurring, then most of apps refuse to run @justinster123 Keep up the good work! Your efforts are appreciated |
