Hi. I installed 10.7.2 through Snow Leopard using iATKOS L2 and installing to a separate partition and replacing the kernel. I have an AMD Phenom 9850 BE. I have read that my processor isn't even supported at all yet I can run the operating system fine, with the exception of a couple of problems. After the operating system has been running for a while, say 20 minutes, the stock applications do not launch. They sit bouncing on the dock forever until I force close them. Another problem is about the same time finder will not do file operations. When the window for say copying comes up it just sits there at copied Zero of XX.MB. I also cannot update to 10.7.3 or 10.7.4, I cannot boot if I do.

probably with your system the FakeSMC.kext is loaded or it is not installed. Importantly which you installed the correct version and which installation place. If you start Lion with usekernelcache=yes, also the Kexte must lie in /S/L/E, since otherwise Lion ignores the drivers in /E/E. If you with usekernelcache=No start then must all drivers in S/L/E lie!! If your system to the same places stops then deletes intelcpupowermenagment.kext from S/L/E and takes the SleepEnabler: kext with nullpowermanagement.kext then it should actually start. I had also had the same problem Mainboard: GA-990FXA-UD3 Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller Realtek High Definition Audio CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1100T RAM: 16 GB Corsair DDR3 1600 C9 NVIDIA Geforce GTX 550 TI 3072 MB DVD SATA HDD: Segate 2 TB WD 320 GB WD 500 GB ----------------------------------------------------- Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit Snow Leopard 10.6.8 Lion 10.7.2 Lion 10.7.4 HOW-TO look here |
