I am working on expanding the ModCD project to support all releases of OS X...I was actually waiting for other Lion kernels so that I can create a fully-compatible CD.

You are correct about the license. This is why people have problems with tonymac...he hasn't released any source code, violating the APSL license. Not saying that bronzovka is in the same class with tonymac, just giving an example of the licensing.

I for one would like the source...I might be able to adapt the patch for older Intels as well. Nawcom previously stated that when experimenting with his AMD machine, it would stop after Got Boot Device. If I/nawcom can look at the source I/he/we might be able to apply this to more processors, and thus create a full legacy kernel supporting old Intels and AMDs alike.

Find out whether your AMD is a model 6, model 5, or model 2 and download the appropriate kernel.

Hello,
I am new to the forums, and made this account just for this thread. First, I would like to say thank you to the community for all your hard work porting 10.7 Lion to AMD processors. However, I have a similar problem to a few others and have not yet resolved it. I have an AMD Athlon II X4 635 Quad-Core Processor.

I downloaded this kernel for Model 5 Processors from a few pages back: http://www.mediafire.com/?oid59g1gl3oq34p

And i am using iAtkos L2 on a USB Flash Drive.

When i boot up with -v, i freeze here:

When i boot up with -legacy -v, i get a Kernel Panic:

Any help would be MUCH appreciated

Thanks,
Shawn

Where do we find this? Can I update from Hazard 10.6.6i directly to Lion with the right kernel for my Amd Phenom II x965? Is gtx 480/470/460 drivers supported on Lion? I have a gtx 470. Am I using retail Lion or a distro of Lion? What is the best retail file size(to get) so I know I'm downloading the right retail Lion if that is what I have to get.

My GTX 560 Ti works with these: http://www.nvidia.com/object/macosx-...01-driver.html just needs graphicsenabler=yes (GTX 470 should work as well)

GA-Z68XP-UD3: Lion 10.7.3, Windows 7 Professional 64bit SP1 and FreeBSD 9-RELEASE, Core i5 2500K @ 3.3GHz, 16GB 1333 Mhz DDR3 ram(Soon), 1GB GDDR5 Nvidia Geforce GTX 560 Ti, 2X 1TB Samsung F3 SATA HDDs, 1X WDC Blue 500GB HDD; Dell Mini 10v: Obsidian Black, 2GB DDR2 533MHz Ram, 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270, 120GB HDD, 6-Cell, Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8 Build 10K549

If you didn't notice earlier, use CPU-Z in Windows.

Use retail, distros are recipes for trouble.

Apparently the kernel doesn't support installers...you'll have to install Lion from SL and then boot Lion with the kernel after it's installed.

Again, another reason to release source code...

Hmm..Thanks for your feedback. One more question; I have an iMac running 10.7, can i use the recovery partition to install to an external drive, and boot that drive on my AMD?

I made an iBoot lion 10.7 installer on my Intel hac with the vanilla 10.7 app store dmg. Installed on my hac, onto a usb external HDD. Then I booted my Lion on my sata HDD, so that I can update the external HDD to 10.7.3, then ran muiltibeast selecting the External drive, selected what I thought I needed. Edited AHCI kexts so that the HDD would boot on my AMD machine, followed by replacing the kernel with the AMD one. I made sure that the org.chameleon.Boot.plist had "npci=0x3000 -legacy and -v" under kernel flags, disabled usekernelcache, otherwise it wouldn't boot. I then installed the HDD into my AMD machine and it booted right up with the exception of finder. I'm not sure if the recovery partition will work, but the app store dmg will no doubt.
