Alright here you go

Give me the best HacBook Pro out there... Everything working(i can live with installing stuff, ie kexts and drivers) and that can boot retail... heres the challenge ;D 200 or UNDER, ive decided to give up on my dream of making a MacPro...*sigh atleast until i get some money comming in

I'd say a low end model of an MSI Wind or some huge used Dell laptop you can find if you crawl eBay. Honestly, for $500 you can get a top notch NetBook (~~IBM~~ Lenovo makes the S10 which is the best you can get IMO), or a decent entry level dual core laptop. I'd put the price up to $500 because you want something that's going to last you a little longer if you have issues with cash flow.

lol you seriously could not get anything for 200 lol. like thats just way too small a budget. but yeah i dunno much about lappy hardware. sorry

crap... alright thanks man... i was thinking the HP Mini, but then I looked at the things specs and its a piece of crap lol, 16GB HD is the best you can get with it, and it's even OVER my budget

How about dell mini ? its the only notebook that evrything works on. sound - wifi everything. Next to that is the Msi wind. Theres a special iso bootloader for the dell mini and then you just need a retail cd and a external dvd drive

All of the netbooks are 1.6GHz. The Lenovo is nice because of the 160 GB HDD, 1 GB RAM, and Webcam. It also looks like a MacBook, and is very sturdy. I went to a tech convention when the new netbooks just came out and the best build was the S10. HP mini has a very shitty keyboard, and MSI Wind has very cheap plastic (and an overall cheap feel).

EDIT: Price dropped to $400, and remember it has a 10.2 inch screen!

Since Im saving, i think im gonna look into iBook's(maybe a G4, i love that thing :P)

xXrkidXx, it's a lovely computer. There's only one fault with it in my part; 1024x768. Honestly if you want a new computer do what I'm doing, buy it right before school starts. You get great deals on parts if you're building and on laptops because they sell like hot bread towards the end of August through September

The iBook is nice, I have it and personally love it, just it's getting old to make a new investment today on it. Four years ago's a different story.

If you could find one, and if you really wanted it, I would recommend a 12" PowerBook G4. Sure it is getting a little slow, but I have a first generation 12", and it still works perfectly fine. Nothing has ever gone wrong with it. I think that the 12" PowerBook G4 was the best computer ever made.

That is, if you want a computer that is several years old.
