I dont believe that is actually for AMD as it does not work on my system, unless you need EFI installed too. (which I don't) I have however got full QE/CI graphics but it just takes forever to boot to the desktop.

well, here are my first impressions of 10.5.2...

the patching process was very strange (used macgirl's fix on insanelymac). i think i got it to run by luck. also, i am having the same problem as everyone else with the desktop taking forever to boot. about 1-3 minutes. not horrible, but still annoying as hell.

as of now, i really don't see many changes for the things that i do/programs i run. in 10.5.1, my biggest problems were related to safari and i'm really disappointed that safari 3.1 didn't come included in this release. also, there were rumors that the dock's graphics would be more customizable, and that turned out to be false. blah. this just ended up being an over-sized security update for me. waste of time so far. i haven't run the graphics update yet, but i will tomorrow. it's my last hope that 10.5.2 is anything special.

[cite] zephyroth:[/cite]Ok ... I thought it would be easy to update to 10.5.2 but I'm experiencing some troubles:

2 - Flash videos on Youtube stop at 2 sec

...
I hope that there are no others issues (in that case I'll add them here)
So it will take more time to include it correctly in the next DVD.

For those who has updated their Leo, how does it work ?
Zeph I bet you didnt have sound working!
I get that until I install kext for soundcard.

Hmmm ... all issues I experienced was because ... I was in safe mode for a couple of hours (and I forgot)!
So no problem with QE/CI and no problem with Flash.
Sound works too.

Actually I'm trying to make "ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin" to work properly as it is related to "System.kext" and the console don't stop to tell me that there's a problem with it. (IOKit ...)

There's a problem with "Keyboard and Mouse menu" too while using PS2 keyboard/mouse (it doesn't show anything) but it works with USB Keyboard/Mouse.

The Terminal shows me a message like this one :
"Feb 13 11:06:35 zephyroth-akashs-system-product-name /Applications/Safari.app/Contents/MacOS/Safari[194]:
Unable to load Info.plist exceptions"

But not only with Safari, it shows me the same for mds, spotlight ... etc

At the moment these are the only issues I see and that's enough ...

Mac OS X 10.6.3 • 2.8 GHz Intel Core I7 860 • ASUS P7P55D • 2 GB 2 Ghz DDR3 • ATI RADEON XFX 4890 1GB • 2 x Hitachi 160 GB Serial-ATA • PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-112 • LaCie Desktop Harddrive 750 GB USB

I just removed ACPI_SMC from IOPlatform and got no issues, I did see on one of the forums that someone replaced it with IOPlat. from 10.5.1 and had no issues, hope this helps!

Ok that's what I've done but ... It doesn't help me to understand what was the problem.

Anyway, I still have to fix that damn menu with PS2 Controller. I will try to recompile ACPIPS2Nub, ApplePS2Keyboard, Mouse and Trackpad and see if it works.

my impression about 1052 - shit.

rev1 by zeph was running nice and i dit the update by macgirls tutorial and the update was running. but suddenly i get the error to reboot the machine with the different languages. hehe - and thats it. dead system, no bootin anymore because i had to reset it while the update was running...

so i wait again till the big 1052 REV1 disc. dont want to setup the system again by hand.

Good luck, don't use ps2 so can't offer any help.
Keep up the good work ;-)
