Can someone tell me a good alternative, I don't like I tunes its too commercial you can't fart without having to sign up for something, and I don't like the way its library organises tunes etc etc.

Huh? You can disable the store? I don't have anything related to any commercial things in my iTunes :P

Use GimmeSomeTune (Free). It will display album artwork for you(and it really works), and even lyrics for songs. I know, it's a third party app, but you can set it to open and close with iTunes, and it rellay doesn't take that much memory, around 13-15MB.
