Boy, that post got deleted quickly.
This post was deleted because it contained disrespectful comments. Please respect the forum rules and the work of other people.

Anyways, I would not even want to try to begin to improve on this…-I'd rather start from scratch. And believe me, I could — no doubt — create a utility that actually does something useful. However that goes against what is in my opinion the osx86 philosophy (to learn & do everything by yourself), and so all these apps also go against that.

Ah yes, the same wonderful and helpful attitude the Linux community had in 1994. Default response to any question: RTFM, even if there is none. The 'elite' had figured it out by themselves, so anyone who couldn't make it work was not worthy of their attention.

Really great attitude. Especially for a n00b on these forums. Why don't you go back where ever you came from and take your attitude with you? People here try to help others. If it is not for you, move along to something that is. No need to make an ass out of yourself.

I can AGREE with your statment about these people here!

I have talked with people in the forums, private posts, and via E-mail. People have looked up equipment for me. Found drivers, even told me how/where to edit files.

Things have werked. Things havn't werked, I've had options presented.

I'm a noob to OS X, I've lost my edge in Winders (I'm feeling old.) When I was new to Winders, there wern't the forums there are now, and most of the mods were done with a phone pressed to you ear, IF you knew somebody that knew more than you. (RARE) and usually the ones that did help must profit!

Today's society (Don't know if local country, or worldwide) appears to be "I want an answer and I want it NOW (or sooner!)" so people won't RTFM when they can, and actually it CAN be a good thing! I've done stuff on PCs simply because I didn't know "it couldn't be done." Now, I have a wife, and 4 kids, so my experimenting days are limited to "It must be recoverable in less than 10 minutes or less"

OS X is a GREAT OS from what I have been told by several people over the years. Using my G4 was good, until I opened the case. I havn't seen crashes like Winders.

I wants my OS X to boot from the HD, I wants to access my server an the internet. I wants to HEAR my Mac! I'm willing to put some efforts into these wants.

want Want WANT! That is what every noob here has! Its because they don't know how. Experts, PLEASE tolerate the same questions over and over again. 1/2 the time GOOD search phrases are elusive, and even then not always helpfull. As the forums grow, searches give more results and I feel that even assembly lined machines are unique. and all-in-1 answers are not always the rigth ones.

Keep up the good, FRIENDLY work!

Well said throttlemeister, evidently this disgruntle user hasn't even cared to read the general rules of the IM forum. Just in case he/she happens to come back to this post, let's remind him/her in choir why those comments are not in line with the forum rules. So, dear pater, here's are the rules as a friendly reminder for you and this time please, take the time to read and respect them.
Thank you in advance from all of us in the community for avoiding posting unnecessary comments like the one you left here earlier on

---------------------------------------------------------------
General Rules
Welcome to the InfiniteMac community forum. We try to encourage all form of discussion and debate, but, as with all forums and online communities we have a set of rules and guidelines that should be respected and adhered to.

The following rules have been put in place to be as fair, open and reasonable as possible. They are designed to clarify various responsibilities of community members here at InfiniteMac. Please read and become familiar with them, their terms are retroactive and agreed by team and group members.

1.) Search the forums before you post your topic. Your question or comment may have already been discussed, answered, or resolved.

2.) Create a concise subject that adequately summarises your topic. For example "Mac OS X 10.5.6 update broke my Mac" is much more informative than "HELP ME FIX THIS!" or "I've got an error!". Being descriptive also helps future readers when performing a search.

3.) Double-posting (or cross-posting) the same post (or similar posts) in different forums will cause confusion and most likely reduce chances or receiving a valid resolution for the topic.

4.) Be patient. Do not expect an answer immediately. All the users of this community are using the forum and participating in discussions in their own time.

5.) Help others. This forum is a community and works best when people share information and assist one another to the best of their abilities.

6.) Use coherent English where possible. Whilst it is understandable that English is not the first language of many of our users, InfiniteMac requests that users try, wherever possible, to use English, such that all other users may be able to understand the discussion. Further to this, "leet speak" is very much frowned upon and will result in the post being deleted.

7.) Be constructive. If you don't have anything good to say then don't say anything at all. Constructive criticism is welcome, derogatory
comments are not.

8.) Respect one another. InfiniteMac is a friendly place and we want to keep it that way. We will not tolerate any form of racism, victimisation, slander or hateful content. Flaming or abusing users in any way will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning. Members are asked to not act as “back seat moderators”. If members note an issue which contravenes something in the rules they should bring it to the attention of a member of Staff. Please use the “report post” feature so that the situation can be dealt with appropriately.

9.) No Warez. Members are asked to respect the copyright of other users, sites, media, etc. Users linking to or asking for information on warez, crackz, torrents etc. will receive a warning and their post will be removed.

10.) The posting of Mac OS X files are not permitted. Only links to pure open source (darwin) kexts or or open source/community created software will be permitted. Software or kexts that have been hacked, reverse engineered or taken directly from Apple are not permitted due to copyright laws.

11.) No inappropriate content. We ask our members to realise that this board is aimed at a general audience. Posting pornographic or generally offensive text, language, images, links, etc. will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning.

12.) Failure to adhere to rules will result in a warning and a possible ban.

The rules set above cover a wide and varying range of subject matter. We ask all of our members to exercise good judgement and common sense when interacting within this forum. These rules are subject to change. Please check back frequently for the benefit of the individual and the community.

Thank you for your co-operation.

Being a noob "to this forum" doesn't mean anything. I've been around the osx86 scene long enough to know crap when I see it. This is crap. I happen to be involved in an everlasting crusade against OSx86 crap so I tend to speak my mind when I see it.

Critique is one thing. However, you're just insulting others' work. Write your own OSx86 program (or at the least point out the GOOD alternatives). That would prove something more than dissing the work of others.

As I said, there are apps that do all of this already.

Secondly, the GUI elements are WAY too large. Especially for something like backing up the kernel.

Is this a wrapper btw?

Yes I don't see the point of making such an application ...
The OS can almost do what it does, like Hara Taiki said there are apps that do all of this already
and the gui is clearly not well designed.

People, I don't mean that my work is far more better, just that he should try to make an useful app.

SaCleoCheater keep up to learn and ignore these insulting posts !
