Hi mates .... finally I got it!!!! :-)

I couldnt install SL because ... I used a F#(&$g WESTERN DIGITAL HD!!!!
I readed about it on the Gurruwiwi guide and I forgot it, so I tried many times in several ways to install SN and nothing ... I had to chnage my Hd with a seagate one and everything was fine !!!!

I have only 1 little problem ... I can see the battery indicator on the top bar ... anybody knows how to resolve this?

Mascal,

All right man! would you please move your post to the SL tutorial? it will make others confident if they hear about success stories, even if was only the WD tip that saved the day ! I'm very glad to hear about it, do talk about how you did it, if we compare info we can refine stuff!

ferrariturbo, I think some people are having that problem with your model and iAtkos kexts. Someone fixed it I think by using iDeneb instead, so I would suggest to first try to get iDeneb's kexts and substitute them, and if that doesn't work, a fresh install of iDeneb will do the trick. Can't you remove the 5100 and put in the broadcom?

I'm still new, so please help me out.
I have HP dv2860ee, almost the same specs, but I have nVidia 8400M GS.
It all went ok, it loads, I pass the grey screen with the apple logo and the circle, but then it stops, nothing appears .. just a black screen! Any help please ?

Hi Worgen.

You must interrupt the Chameleon countdown pressing any key, then type "'-v". This removes the apple logo and shows the boot process. When it stalls, you should be able to see what is causing Kernel Panic (KP). Take a picture and post.

What install method did you use?

You symptom seems to be related to NVRESMAN.kext. Before trying anything else, try removing this kext from S/L/E and repair permissions. You should be able to boot, but graphics will not have resolution management.

Thanks, I already solved it, I had a wrong selection of VGA, but it's just onething, I can't get my wireless to work yet, any help about this?
There's also a glitch in the graphics, espicially in scrolling menus but, I can live with it

Gurruwiwi, I've installed Leopard ( I prefer to wait with SL till I can convert one of my other pc's to leopard too as I need a spare to install SL.

With Leopard it is working fine! Got full QE/CI, audio works, wifi works ( with the 1490 ).
But I still got a problem with the SD kext I think it is. Could be because I used kext helper instead of OSXtools But I had to reinstall, now made a copy with carbon copy onto my external drive Neec to try tonight if it works with osxtools as I've found them now ( osx86tools ).

Keep you posted

But I have another question too.
I'm on a dutch macOSX forum too, Is it alright if I put your guide there and in my own language ( Dutch ). I'll post credits to your post

Guys please, isn't there any solution for my wireless to work?
I use Intel Pro/Wireless 2200 802.11b/g Integrated Wireless LAN
isn't there any kext or something to make it work on iATKOS v7 (10.5.7)?
