iPC on Inspiron e1705 CoreDuo -- screen turns off just after blue screen

I successfully iPC on an old Dell e1705 Core Duo with i945GM chipset.
Installed Seatbelt kext, VooDoo kernel. No chipsets or video were installed.

I boot with the -f -v flags, and everything seems to work fine.

Then a moment after the display goes all blue the screen turns black. The drive is still spinning and it sounds like the boot is still operating. I saw something similar to this on an old IBM Thinkpad where I had to swich the monitor displayed to be the correct primary one in OSX.

Any ideas?
