ok this is my first post so im not to sure what to do

i have this laptop looks exactly like this

My Specs

Genuine Windows® Vista® Home Basic (I Changed it to Windows 7 Ultimate )

2 GB DDR2 Memory (RAM)
160GB Hard Drive
Internal DVD-RW Drive
Integrated LAN
Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator
Integrated high speed 3 x USB 2.0 Ports
Integrated webcam
PCMCIA Type II
Integrated Broadcom bg Wireless Network Adapter (Wifi)

but when i install idened 10.5.5 it will install smooth and then is will not get past the setup screen

10.5.8 it will install then right after on the boot screen it has some like icon looking similar to this but in grey obviously but the wheel keeps spinning

what i think is my problem i have been reading this forum for months now do i have to install specific drivers

or if their is something wrong please post back or contact me on msn im
