local apic error - hp pavilion dv6 - 1259dx
Hi all,
I keep getting kernel panic saying "local apic error\n ""..xnu-1228\..\mp.c:683" whenever darwin tries to load..i have a dual core intel..could this be something related to bios or there is a patch available for it? I have tried kalaway and ideneb(leopard installed first but spat that error when rebooted) with similar error..i've been lookin all over internet tryin to solve this thing..could be local apic not enabled or some kernel option has to be enabled/disabled? any pointers would be greatly appreciated! |

Hi. Got a dv6 1155ei. Leopard 10.5.8 and snow running well. Updated bios from hp site version f12 to f24. Now get the same local apic error. CPUs=1 at boot helps to load osx without problem. Local apic error is definately due to bios but not yet figured out what. Dsdt needs to be patched. Anyone got any ideas?
