Do this (my method):
Download the new kernel and system.kext Use kext-installer first to install the new system kext. Then, copy the mach_922 to your desktop and rename that to mach_kernel Install kernel-installer by PCWiz and rename your existing kernel as mach_kernel.backup when you receive the prompt Then when the installer asks for the directory where your new kernel is located, point the directory to your desktop where mach_kernel is Finally, the installer will ask you where you would like to place the new kernel, point the file to the root when asked and the installation should be successful. Worked splendily for me. =) Quote:

@Doix, but aren't both of those kernels the same thing?

I can't seem to get past Firewire Full Secure Mode when I use modbinkernel, so far sleepkernel works the best, though I can't seem to reboot, it gets where the screen turns off and then it just hangs, so I have to hit the reset button every time.

Try sleep kernel or modkernel included in Kalways or Leo4all's release.

I managed to fix the sleep function by putting ACPI to "S0" mode in BIOS.
