New install on Intel DG45FC or DG41MJ
Hello to everyone.
I've been reading this forum for quite a while and i've decided to post here.Looking for some help. I am an owner of a macbook 13.3 (mb466) and after a while i've decided to install osx to my pc, tried several "distros"but i couldn't make everything work as it supposed to (had some kps ,graphics didn't work, audio problems and last network and no internet) I've tried ipc, hotiso, ideneb, kalyway etc. also the retail dvd but the good thing is that i learned a few things. The pc now works with fedora 12, a have a few hdd to play with and this is whats inside: Board: Intel DG45FC Chipset: Intel G45 On board graphics: Intel X4500HD Sound: HDA (IDT 92HD73E) Network: 82567LF Gigabit Ethernet Controller. Ram: 2x 2gb ddr2 @ 800 a dvd: dvd/rw and a hdd: 2.5' 80gb segate @ 5400 I have been trying these for my setup: 1)Install osx 10.6 2)Install combo update στο .3 3)Install chameleon 4)Copy my kexts στο /Extra ,set permissions and rebuild cashes. 5)Reboot A few things that I'd like to know: a) Where can I find the kexts that i need? Tried kexts.com and some others and i think that Χ4500HD does not work at all. b)The steps that i follow are correct? c)Does anyboby knows iboot and multibeast? I got it from (h++p://tonymacx86.blogspot.com) But i don't think that in my case will be very helpful. d)Can you explain if and why i need a dsdt; e)Since I have a macbook can this help to solve some problems? If i swap the disks? f)Should I try 10.6.2 or 10.6.3? Is the older more "compatible"? g)Should I stop messing around and keep Fedora on it? And last I have a spear board intel dg41mj, would it be better with this? Here are the specs G41 Chipset Intel 82G41 Graphics and Memory Controller Hub (GMCH) Intel 82801GB I/O Controller Hub (ICH7) Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X4500 (Intel GMA X4500) Realtek ALC888VC audio codec Realtek RTL8111D Gigabit Ethernet Controller Sorry if I was to long , but I appreciate any help from you. .nickthegreekk.
