Nvidia Problems on my AMD System

Hello,
i have a problem with my OSX86 System and my new Graphiccard.
Here are my System:
Asrock Dual-VSTA 939 Board, 2 GB Ram
AMD Opteron 170
SATA HD
Old Card : ATI X1950XTX
New Card : Nvidia 9600GT But no Nvidia Card work fine.
The Story:
A few month ago I have a 7600GS card , i make my first steps into the World of OSX86. After a bit try and error I install a working OSX 10.5.5 System using Ideneb , using the Geforce Kext included. (I don’t know witch Injector I used anymore) This works great.
The i upgrade to a ATI 1950xtx Card , this was a very Big Problem to bring this Card to work , but finaly it was done.

Then , I completely Wipe my HD , install Ideneb 10.5.6. It works fine , and would say this working nearly perfect after a while.
I brought a 9600GT, using OS86X Tools to generate a EFI string. Out of the Box OSX boot into Aqua , Resolution was fine. But the System was extremely slow , and the Mouse Pointer was lagy. Every 2 – 5 seconds it move a bit.
I delete the NVDA50HAL.kext and NVDARESS , boot again , Resolution works fine , No mouse Lags and the System was ok. But , without the Kext I have no QE.
When I reinstall the Kext , the Lag is back. I try another Card , a 9500GT , same Problem.
I Tried my Old Card ( 7600GS ) , the one who Works Perfect in 10.5.5 in the same Computer, using a Injector and….. the System is extremely slow and the Mousepointer lags. How can this be ?
I reinstall Ideneb , no Succes. I switch to IPC 10.5.6, the Problem is still there.
So the Problem MUST be something in 10.5.6, maybe the NVDA.kext itself.
The same Card , the System Distro on the Computer of my Wife is working great , but she has E7200 System , not a AMD.
So , the System must be somewhere in 10.5.6 AND in combination on my AMD System. Right ?
This Is what I know... I don’t know how I can solve this problem.
Maybe someone have a few tips, tricks or Ideas ?

try selecting NVKUSH..with no Ndarwin or Nvinject in installation.
You dont need to install the whole system again, but pop in the install CD and unselect all and select only NVkush or Ndarwin or Nvinject. Try one by one.

Or if you have the files in harddisk already, then you can try installing them in the single user mode.

Better Luck

seeing as you have a functioning osx install i would personally boot into safe mode -x and build a retail with just the chipset kext to see what is identifed with osx after updating to 10.5.5. This will eliminate any odd kexts that may have been used in the builds you are trying. Hers a brief guide.

this issue is not due to the fact you are running on amd especially now because all patching is done on the fly by the kernel. This is the main reason i suggested the vanilla install as you now will have no files pre patched for amd, or shouldnt have. I only suggested updating to 10.5.5 because we dont have an voodoo kernel to match 10.5.6. So by rights updating to a vanilla 10.5.5 would be as close to a real mac as you could get. Also i hope you did the updates straight through apple. Its interesting that the mouse is choppy is it a usb mouse? This could just be down to a usb issue or bios settings. Also have you got shared memeory added in the bios as nvidia cards do not like this you really need to disable this some systems wont even boot with this option enabled. Can you also tell me exactly which graphics card you have make model and memory?

Hello,

yes it is a USB Mouse. I tryed a few different Bios Settings , but nothing happend.
In my Bios there is no options for Shared Memory.

The Card is a Sparkle Nvidia 9600 GT, 512 Mb. The Problem also apperd with a Sparkel 9500GT 512mb and an Nvidia 7600GS , 215 MB.

The Strange.... in the past , the old Card ( 7600 GS ) worked well under a IDenebV1.3 10.5.5 Instalation.

I also found another strange behavore. When Aqua starts, the mouspointer is in the upper Left corner. So i can click on the Apple Symbol and then chose Logout per Keyboard. In the Login Screen there is no Mouse Chopps, no lags. Then i log in again , a few seconds i have a normal mouse , then it begins.
This is a blank system , no tools , nothing that could do that. o.O

And Yes, i update using the Apple Updater.

I installed only the Kernel, Dontsteel and Via Kext. I removed IntelPowermanagmend.
