Hello read your post, I also use asus K50IN, tried everything but I can only boot into os x in safe boot. In the regular boot with -v it stops booting at voodoopower.kext any help with this, forgot to mention I installed ideneb 1.5.1 10.5.7
Pls give me a step by step procedure to boot without -x (safe boot) Thanks |

Wow, thanks for the reply, just one question:
Would the regular OS X 10.6 Snow leopard Retail build 10A432 DVD boot up on my Asus K50IN machine? I burnt the dmg image to an 8.5Gb DVD but it didn't boot-up, just want to find out if I did something wrong. Thanks for your relpy. |

no the original will not boot, you will have to use a bootloader, usually Chameleon RC3 will do. You grab the script from the link i posted above, install it on an 8GB usb stick and than restore the snowleopard image on it. reboot and you should be good to go. You will have to make your install partition or disk GUID to install snow leo. Just dont forget to install NullCPUPowerManagement and NVEnabler in /Extra.

My G102M is supported in SL 32bit with NVEnabler but its not working under 64bit due to lack of NVEnabler 64bit kext. I have tried EFI strings under 64bit SL and it is recognized and i can change resolutions and all but with OpenGL Extension viewer i dont have Nvidia renderer like in 32bit just Apple software one. Has anyone have a clue about it? Thanks
