Proposed App: EFI Partition Automator for AMD/SSE2

Hey guys,

I think you all know of munky's EFI partition method, by using the useless EFI partition on a GUID partition to serve as a boot 132 partition of sorts, allowing non vanilla users to boot retail. The procedure is pretty long winded, and I have had several requests to create a tool that automates the procedure of formatting, installing bootloader, and setting up BOOT 132 on the EFI partition in one click.

What does everyone think?

Thanks

This is what I PMed you about over at your site. I'm creating a script that will do this... still in early stages. Since my knowledge is more Hardware and System based, you might have a better chance with this. Let me know if I can be of any help as I've already got a good groundwork laid out for what needs to be done to make this possible.

I think this would be great. I've been around the Hackintosh scene for a while and to tell you the truth the whole EFI / Boot 132 thing confuses the heck out of me haha
All of your other apps are fantastic and this would be great. Like I have no idea when I would need to use the Extra folder or even where it is hahahahaha

The Extra folder is for boot-132... not the "boot-efi" method (as I like to refer to it) explained my munky.

Nice idea. Prolly you could team up with a friend of mine, who just released this script called EPOS I. (find here or here).

It does some nice things:
like autodetermining of EFI partition
you can even feed it with SlimBuild-Preboot compliant disks...
