No, it's perfect.
![]() The system performance feels very smooth, and programs open (even) faster than on Rev1. ![]() System Updater told me that everything is up to date - iTunes and other Programs that I tested work nice. It basically feels like the RC1 that I customized for a week or two to make it work nicely, but much more smooth and faster, I guess that's because the stock kexts work very well together. Edit: The processor load is now at about 4-8%, with the same programs opened Rev1 had 20%, wow! Good Job! |

I don't see a big difference, I even have the feeling that's a bit slower. Would it be a difference if I use GUID? Would it still be possible to use Dual-Boot with the Windows boot selector?

Did you try XBench or another bench to see if it's really slower ?

zeph, actually the computer is now also much more Quiet!
When I had lots of applications opened on Rev1, then it would become slower and the performance would decrease. Now there aren't any loud or busy sounding sounds =D edit: I currently have 15 Applications opened, Installing an Adobe Suite, and I'm adding about 1000 songs to iTunes and browse the Web using Safari with many tabs open, and it's quite and everything runs like with zero apps opened :> |

@ zephyroth:
I tried Xbench and the CPU seems to be slower. On RC1 I got over 86 sometimes, on RC2 it was mostly 79-82, maximum was 85. But overall it seems to be a better, about 106 compared to 105. But I have kinda feeling it's slower. I'm now restructuring my HD with GUID partition table. 2 Opteron systems: OSx86 10.5.8, Andy's 9.8.0 kernel, Asus A8N-SLI Premium, Opteron 185 o'clocked @ 2 x 2,95 GHz (2nd system 2.6 GHz), ATI Radeon HD2600XT 256MB Dual-Monitor 2x HP L2035, 4 GB RAM, Griffin FireWave as main audio device, Marvell + nForce LAN, Asus U3S6 USB3/SATA6 card, 5,5 TB harddisk, Firewire 800 card, Apple Remote + eHome IR receiver, 2x Wacom serial graphics tablet, Canon Pixma iP4700, Logitech Internet Navigator wireless keyboard/mouse combination.
