Arf yes, I think the difference between e8500 and X2 4200 is ... BIG !

But hey don't worry I still have an Athlon 3500+ SSE2/SSE3. :-)

Penryn E8500 seems to be promising ... 3,16 @ 4,7Ghz in air cooling ... And it will not be too expensive.
I know that for Intel users who already own a C2D it's not a real evolution but when you change from Athlon X2 to this C2D its another story.

And I will be able to get Leopard running with stock kernel and stock kexts on my PC ... That's really cool.
BTW: I'm working on a way to make Apple updates more easy for AMD.

About the upload of Rev.2 :

I've removed all rar from ftp as it wasn't the right ISO.
I will upload the new image this night and it should be finished tomorrow morning.

I read that the E8500 (Wolfdale) has 6 Megabytes (2x 3072 KB) of L2 Cache,
that's certainly insanely fast in addition to the 2x 3166 MHz Cores!

Which Mainboard are you going to use for that purpose?
An Intel Bad Axe 2?
