Sigmatel C-Major Audio

Hey guys. I have a Sigmatel C-Major Audio sound card in my Dell E1505. I have searched for about 3-4 hours now and have found no way to get it to work. I ahve installed multiple kexts and have tried to used the Apple HDA Patcher (which I'm not quite sure how to use yet) and nothing has worked. On the Dell Support page it says that the driver is a STAC-92XX Driver, which I have found nothing about. Does anyone have any ideas? Btw I installed using iPC OSx86 w/ Leopard 10.5.6.

Thanks in Advance

PS: Here's a bonus question for you guys. I have a Ricoh SD Card reader built in. There were no drivers on the install disk soo... Does anyone know how to make it work?
Edit: Got another one for you guys. How do I get the scroll function to work on the trackpad thing w/ my laptop. On Dell Support it says the driver is a Synaptics Touchpad driver.

Hello,

have u tried Azzalia Audio ? Its a great generic Audio Driver.

When u want to use HDA Audio Patcher u need a Dump of ure Driver , usual from a Linux Driver. Maybe u can find a working Driver there , then u can use HDA Patcher to make a working OSX Kext.
But first u should try the Azzalia Audio Kext.

Do you know where I could get an Azzalia Audio Kext. Also, just in case it doesn't work, how do I get the codec dump from Linux. I have a Live CD for Ubuntu, so would that work to get the dump?

I guess you`re looking for this : Azalia Installer : http://rapidlibrary.com/download_fil...audio.pkg+.zip

To get codec dump from Ubuntu, run terminal and type :

cat /proc/asound/card0/codec#1 > ~/Desktop/codec_dump.txt

In case it doesnt work, use codec#0 if it shows that codec#1 doesnt exist.

Well, I still have a problem. The HD Audio Device shows up in sounds, but no sound is played. Any ideas?

Did u change the Output To : Internal Speaker ?

Or, when this does not work ,try another Output Device.

Well, the thing is, the only thing that shows up in the output devices window is HD Audio Device, I don't remember seeing any internal speaker option. I also installed this on my desktop and I had to change to the external speaker option, so I'm going to see where that is on the desktop and compare with the laptop. (I have different sound cards on both though)

UPDATE: Well, on my laptop all that shows up is the HD Audio Device, no options for internal/external. Also, apparently, I cannot have the HDAEnabler.kext and AppleHDA.kext installed at the same time or else nothing will show up. Last, and maybe least, I read on some forum (probably here or insanelymac) that if your headphone/mic ports are vertical then your audio is integrated and if they are horizontal, your audio is PCI. My audio ports are horizontal, and apparently therefore my audio is PCI. Hope that helps.
I think at this point it may be easier to do the audio codec dump from Linux, so if you guys can't help with this one, can you tell me how to get/install the codec dump?
Thanks for sticking w/ me.
