Well the last subject you brought up is a kernel panic, which is not good, take a look at your console log and see what happened.

Trouble with SnowOSX_Universal_10.6(432)GM_v3.5 on Toshiba A505 S6960

Hello. I was wondering if you have a process to help me out. I recently put SnowOSX_Universal_10.6(432)GM_v3.5 on my Toshiba A505-S6960 Computer. It installed fine. But my USB, Webcam, Sound, Ethernet, etc. did not work. So I tried to add some .kexts but I just furthered the problem and now the computer is stuck in a boot loop. It says "Your computer needs to restart" every time I try to boot into Snow Leopard. So if you could help me through the process that would be great. My computer specs. are as follows:

System Manufacturer TOSHIBA Model Satellite A505 Total amount of system memory 4.00 GB RAM System type 64-bit operating system Number of processor cores 2 Storage Total size of hard disk(s) 1159 GB Disk partition C: 157 GB Free (228 GB Total) Media drive D: CD/DVD Disk partition E: 502 GB Free (932 GB Total) Media drive F: CD/DVD Graphics Display adapter type Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family Total available graphics memory 1759 MB Dedicated graphics memory 128 MB Dedicated system memory 0 MB Shared system memory 1631 MB Display adapter driver version 8.15.10.1883 Primary monitor resolution 1366x768 DirectX version DirectX 10 Network Network Adapter Realtek RTL8102/8103 Family PCI-E FE NIC Network Adapter Intel(R) WiFi Link 5100 AGN

Just to let everyone know. I am bringing the Toshiba L305 project back. I had abandoned it at one time. So any news on the Toshiba L305 series would be most appreciated, Also as a side note I may be forming a Toshiba Laptop group, so if you know your way around a Toshiba laptop, Drop me an email at : [email protected]

Have you tried any boot flags?

I'm running Kalyway 10.5.2 on my L305-S5907. I installed Kalyway and had everything working fine (besides QE/CI and DVD playback) on my old A105-S2231 before I transferred my 80GB hard drive to my L305. Everything runs great except the graphics are stuck with native resolution, mic and headset jacks aren't working and the Atheros wifi card isn't detected. I'm not sure which model the Atheros card is because it doesn't have the model number in the detailed product specifications and I don't want to open her up to find out and possibly cause some internal damage to the laptop. If anyone can offer some assistance, it would be greatly appreciated.

Processor: Intel Pentium Dual Core
Chipset: Mobile Intel GL40 Express
Memory: 4GB DDR2 SDRAM
Storage: 80GB Serial ATA Hard Drive
Graphics: Mobile Intel Graphics Media Accelrator 4500M
Wireless: Atheros (Model unknown)
