I've always just replaced AppleSMBIOS.kext with a compatible version in order to get CS3 programs to work. Do these anti-crash files make it so that you can't run adobe updates on the programs? Or are these files meant to be applied after updating the programs?

Actually they crack Adobe CS3 Trial Applications, so that after the patching, there is no activation process or serial number dialogue at all.

Replace one file, and the Application will work out of the box.

And yes, they also fix the startup crashing.

You aren't allowed to use them if you don't own a legal copy of an Adobe CS3 Creative Suite.

Odd that CS3 worked on my 10.5.1 install. Just had to install the Suite, type in serial and then select to "never register"

Could this be SMBIOS related again?

When i had 10.5.1 installed i had some problems with CS3, immediate crashes etc. Problem is fixed. It was something cpu related if i am right, cs3 patcher didnt work, had to replace one file then it all worked fine. Took me some time to figure it all out.

Now running 10.5.2 rev1, CS3 installed with ELicense and no such problems. Installs and runs in a second so to say, no patching needed. Excellent.

Great to hear it works, I should try that on the Adobe CS3 I just bought. =) Hopefully it won't crash my license, shouldn't be a problem. Thanks.

I installed Adobe CS3 german, creating an activation code on Windows. No patching, everything works. You only have to block Adobe's internet communication with a personal firewall like Little Snitch (great prog). Much more problematic is that iMovie '08 and Toast 8 (or older) isn't working!
