CS4 installation problem

this is a known problem and is discussed in different boards. The installation of the CS4 Master Suite stops at 90 % when checking system requirements ..!
I tried CS4 Cleaner etc, but nothing helps. some write, this is perhaps an anti piracy check etc, but I have nothing installed from Adobe yet and erased even the Adobe installer to start from the beginning..

Now as I mentioned in your thread about safari. QE/Ci could be an issue. I know with CS3 you could install however the apps would not run. It could also be checking kernel version. Which kernel are you running? In Terminal type
Code:
uname -a

MOBO: Z77MX-QUO-AOS CPU: Core i7 3770K GPU: MSI N760 TF 2GD5/OC Case: Modded MacPro2,1
Memory: 32GB Corsair Vengeance (CMY32GX3M4A1600C9) Wifi: Airport Extreme bcm94321MCA BIOS: HermitCrab Labs H3A.816M
Monitor: AOC Q2963Pm 29" WFHD 2560x1080 21:9
Interests: KDE on Apple Darwin, Keeping it real with the command line, Helping those that help themselves

I know that CS4 has a requirement of 10.5.4 for intel Macs. It looks like you have 10.5.7 installed but the 9.2.0 kernel which is from 10.5.2. Installers do not always look at kernel version. Ive seen some look for "build numbers" of files rooted deep in your system. I have edited installers in the past in order to trick them into thinking i had met the requirements but Im not sure out CS4 installer.

Im not familiar with your rig but you could try a newer kernel. Just make sure to backup prior and make sure to keep your System.kext and Seatbelt.kext matching with your kernel as mismatches can cause problems.

I made a new install with the default Vanilla kernel ( iDeneb 10.5.7). After, I only could boot with one processor deactivated. then I installed a new kernel, 940StageXNUKernel (Darwin 9.4.0.) , which was extracted from a DVD. After reboot now I have the two processors shown correctly.
The CS4 installation is working now ! seemed to be a kernel problem.

The activation is another problem of course.. After usind a keygen with a working serial, Photoshop doesn´t start at all.
