Hi All, I seem to be having a problem with marvins util. when i run create patcher package, it runs all the way through but fails to create any decrypts. Does anyone have any ideas why its not creating the decrypts..at a loss.

Thank You

There may be no files to decrypt, if it finds any cpuid's it will still create the patch file.

If your OSX Installation DVD has been patched properly, you shouldn't see Marvin's finding any "encrypted files". That sort of thing should have been completed already. As I understand it, adding Applications to your new OSX installation usually shouldn't add any encrypted files but the new software may contain CPUID's. If you're running an AMD, you should have Marvin's look for CPUID's that may need changing whenever you install new software.

The above is also why you need to be careful with System Updates from Apple - in all likelyhood, they need to be patched for AMD before you'll be able to install them - otherwise, you'll end up with a broken OSX...

Running both 10.5.8 and 10.6.4 on my stinking AMD/ATi machine...

i hoped that i could fix crashing safari with marvins - but the only 2 CPUIDs were from Quicktime:

••• CPUID found in binary: /System/Library/QuickTime/QuickTimeComponents.component/Contents/MacOS/QuickTimeComponents
••• CPUID found in binary: /System/Library/QuickTime/QuickTimeH264.component/Contents/Resources/264decodForkedScalar
*** err067 - patches folder: no decrypts added to patcher folder
* -- no decrypts were created
2008-03-01 02:03:00.894 open[28380:10b] _CFGetHostUUIDString: unable to determine UUID for host. Error: 35

Is Safari dependent on Quicktime? And what about that error in the end?
