Since, I downloaded and attempted to install the CS3 updates so many times, will there be any conflict when opening the applications for the first time? Do I have to reinstall everything again? Or I shouldn't face any problems?

Not on my mac machine right now, but on a pc and am looking at two things, a folder with a multiple files, and a .kext file. Do you happen to know which one I copy into the .kext installer? Or do I simply drag the file in to kext_helper and initiate the install sequence?

@jbeckers, I simply can't belive it. After injecting the kext file and restarting, EVERYTHING WORKS FLawlessly now! =) I was able able to update my Adobe software without a beat. Thank you very much jbeckers. Very appreciated. =))

I wish I knew this before, because now even the apps designed for intel open faster than ever. =)

Thanks.

Zephyroth, do include this in your coming PPF release. Thanks. =)

WinLinMac, are you using Illustrator? If so, are you able to update it? I have the proper SMBIOS installed and I can get all of the CS3 apps to work and update, but for some reason Illustrator always gave me an error when trying to update no matter what I did. I am running 10.5.2, but my own manual update from 10.5.1 - not Zeph's 10.5.2 DVD. I'll be trying out his DVD tonight for testing purposes, but I am just wondering if it will somehow fix this strange issue with Illustrator. I even ran Marvin's utility and still nothing. Not a big deal because I had a backup copy of Illustrator updated entirely, but it's still very odd.

@agrafuese, I was able to update Illustrator without any problems as well. Ironically, everything went smoothly for me, and am very happy that the SMBIOS (Latest) has resolved all of my problems. You should be able to install the update. If not, delete the files that were previously downloaded and have Adobe Bridge (preferred) to search for updates. The updates should then redownload the update(s) for Illustrator and install like a charm. Let me know if this works. If not, try the dedicated updated package as well (available from adobe.com). Really excited for Zephyroth's upcoming patch. =)

Puttabong, a couple of days when I checked this discussion, I remembered you left a comment but didn't check. Is it possible if you can recall what you wrote. I am curious to know. =) Thanks.

Here's a quick note in regards to my problem with Illustrator updates:

I just installed Zeph's 10.5.2 DVD and now updating Illustrator magically works! I don't know why. I've thought of a couple additional reasons, but cannot confirm them to be the solution: 1.) I removed another hard drive that had OS X Tiger and CS3 on it. Previously, this drive was connected to my system, and perhaps Illustrator update was seeing both installations and got confused? 2.) I ran Marvin's utility on the fresh CS3 installation BEFORE updating. I cannot remember if I had done this previously, but I made note of it this time, so perhaps that is the solution (instead of updating and THEN patching with Marvin's utility, which I may have done before)? If neither of these was the true solution, then there is something different about the 10.5.2 DVD from my previous manually-patched version. Either way, I am just happy that I can update Illustrator now
