Question 7600GS 512MB PCI-E @ iPC 10.5.6

Hello, i think that iPC is the best solution. But only one bad think is, that i can't run my 7600GS 512MB PCI-E with correct QE/CI. I tried all injectors and also try EFI strings but with no luck. I also try iHackintosh Nvidia Installer 3.0 Beta by Punk92 which uses NVinject 0.2.0 and 0.2.1. In iPC 10.5.6 no luck (black screen with cursor of death) but in old Kalyway 10.5.2 it works! Quartz Extreme: Supported, Core Image: Hardware...So if there is someone who has this graphics card fully working in iPC 10.5.6 i'll be glad to hear some solutions from you.

My specs:
GA-EP31-DS3L
Core 2 Duo E7400
2GB DDR2 800Mhz
7600GS 512MB PCI-E

If this post is too stupid, feel free to delete it!

Angry Update

Update:
OK, i figured out that nothing works with 10.5.6! Really nothing! But NVinject is great solution for 10.5.2 so what changed between 10.5.2 and 10.5.6? I'm really interested in it! As you can see i'm dummy in this. So if there is someone, who can explain it, i will be thankful.

Angry Nothing...

Update:
So i tried method in 7600GS 512MB AGP topic but nothing happened...I do it this way: install using 7600GS AGP package, boot into safe mode, put my id (0x039210de) in GeForce.kext, NVDANV40Hal.kext, NVDAResman.kext, NVinject.kext, reboot with -f ...and i get nothing but also with "No Kext Loaded" so in that package is not injector or what? i absolutely dnt understand this kext issues...i have no hope in this graphics card, i should buy some new...

Try to put this in...

http://rapidshare.com/files/19635501...7600gs_256.zip

changing inside this kexts the present id with yours... i think the same than Hara's one... because mine is 256mb vram.
IMHO if you install 7600 kexts from ipc release must work for you...

OK bro, thx 4 reply but...i tried that kexts (from iPC) but there was different id...just remember, mine is PCI-E not AGP! When i use NVinject 0.2.1 from iPC i can get full resolution (1280x1024 for my monitor), with NVinject loaded properly, hardware ids are coresponding (in system profiler) so everything is fine but no QE/CI . And using that 7600GS's kexts from iPC gives me nothing (no kext loaded)...Anyway i can try yours kexts and see what happends...maby should NVinect team make new injectors for 10.5.6 but i dnt know, if it's a problem in injectors...i'm really confused .
But wait, wait...i just figured out, that all both of you have Voodoo kernel...and i'm always running it with Vanilla kernel...it can be the point of trouble...i'll give a try...

hello there!

i have the same card 7600gs 512 pci-e and im trying to get it fixed...

i downloaded gipos kexts but i found out that my device id is the same as in gipos kexts (0392) although my card is 512mb and not 256.

so i just installed them without changing anything......
well that didnt work. i can only boot in safe mode and qe/ci still not enabled...

any suggestions?

thanx in advance!

I'm trying to get my 512MB 7900 to work, so I figured I'd give this a shot.. Few questions:

1) Did you modify anything other than the ID strings? e.g., anything to denote the amount of RAM on the nvidia card?

2) Did you install a different kernel? (Like the Voodoo kernel you mentioned above?)

3) Did you install the AppleSMBIOS-27rev3-800 that was in the Zip file from Gipo?
