hey guys, after a long time of fooling around I finally edited my AppleVIAATA.kext and was able to make my SATA drives boot.
Now what I want to do is throw that .kext into the original .iso and reburn it so I can now install Zephs Leopard on my SATA drive.
Using Transmac, I cannot seem to find the .kext file anywhere in the 10.5.2 .iso. Could someone point out where it may be?

Also, Where in AppleAC97Audio.kext (Which info.plist) do I edit to add my DevID because I believe that's the case. Is it in Plugins? If so, which one should I edit because I edited a couple and my OSX crashed.

Thanks guys.

Already is checked... still can't find it for the life of me.

When I add my Realtek AC97 Audio Codec devid to any of the plugin packages my OSX crashes... what the heck.
Devid is 0x545510B9

VIAATA Worked great for my sata when I added the device id to the .plist

any help?

go HERE

thereīs no extensions folder in 10.5.2 ...you need extract the extensions.mkext from 10.5.2, inject your kext and rebuild again this file, when the install finishes you need copy this file again into /system/library/extensions because the kext copied from leopard dvd is the original kext placed into install pkg and not yours.

Roisoft:

hdiutil[379:10b] _CFGetHostUUIDString: unable to determine UUID for host. Error: 35
2008-02-26 17:56:07.996 diskimages-helper[381:1603] _CFGetHostUUIDString: unable to determine UUID for host. Error: 35

Giving me that error whenever I run hdiutil attach /"Leopard file" -readwrite

My input is correct and I am root at the time.
getting that error for some reason

replace /system/library/extensions/ionetworkingfamily.kext/contents/macos/ionetworkingfamily with this file, reboot with -f and try again, donīt forget repair the permissions (chmod/chown)
