Hi, it seems to me that you're getting a kernel panic. Did you ensure that you installed everything correctly for your chipset? Boot using the "-v" flag to diagnose what the error is.

It says "still waiting for root device", root device is the partition where OS X installed, and it cant be found to load OS X.
The problem is you are missing some kext to add support for the storage controller that handles the hard disk where you installed OS X.
Solution would be finding out what storage controller you are using and adding the right kext.
Assuming you are using P45's main SATA ports, that means storage controller is Intel ICH10. That is supported out of the box with no additional kexts if running in AHCI mode, if its running in IDE mode you would need a modded AppleIntelPIIXATA.kext with support for your device id.

that means its still waiting for root device(i think) and also that you didn't use boot flag -v

Check your BIOS settings, look for something where you can switch the SATA ports from IDE to AHCI. Check your motherboard manual for specific details.

I had the same exact problem... as do/did many others. Google that error and you'll see...

What I found suggested was to make sure your DVD ROM is hooked to the first/0 controller. That did not help me.

What did help, as suggested by someone, was to replace my DVD ROM with another drive. I happen to have DVD ROM reader lying around... and that worked!

I was using a DVD Writer... maybe that was the problem?
