were you able to successfully update to kernel 9.4.0? I make sure I do this before I even update to 10.5.3 and then separately update to 10.5.4. The files should be in the forum, but if you can't find them I'll post them for you here temporarily.

You say it hangs after detecting the video card, what is the exact error it displays?
