I do but the other is a dvi.. The one I use is a vga. When I tried the adapter I got nothing. The monitor said no signal. Are both of yours dvi's? I will try again though, Thank you

Hmm.. I tried just the efi strings on a fresh install with no drivers. The video was just as slow as it was without drivers. Maybe I'm doing it wrong? I selected my video card and then wrote to the com.apple.boot.plist. everything showed up in the system profiler except there was no quarts extreme support and I had no option to change the resolution. It was stuck on 1024x768. By the way, thanks for your help. I'll keep trying
