Drop down menus are blank

I installed OS X on my computer today, using Kalyway 10.5.2. The first time I installed it on an old 20GB HD as a test, and everything went well. Then I installed it on a new WD 640GB SATA HD (two 320GB partitions). Things went well until I got to the part of the registration where I was going to use the computer for, the drop down menu was blank. Actually it works if you click in the blank space, well I got past this and finished the install. After the install, the drop down menus work briefly; flash information, and go blank. I can use them if I can guess where to click in the blank space. The drop down menus on the tabs and Apple logo are also blank. I don't know what I did different between the two installs.

I am hoping some one has experienced this, or knows what needs to be changed.

The system consist of Asus P5W DH Deluxe, Intel Q6600 Processor, 4GB OCZ Duel Channel DDR2 RAM, WD 640GB SATA HD, Samsung SATA DVD Burner, and a GeForce 9300GS 512MB Graphics Card.

I had the same problem on my Nvidia machine. Updating your install should *solve* this issue.

If for some reason you would rather not update, or it doesn't help, you can see this post

for the files that solved my problem, not sure they will work for you, but you lose nothing by trying them.

What do you mean by "Updating your install "? If you mean using a torrent later than 10.5.2, what is it?
Thanks,

I've just exchanged my old 8600gt for a new geforce 250 gts 1gb ram and im having the same problem - all menus/overlays (except firefox context menu) are white - when i close the menu i see the content for maybe half a second though... however thats not really a way to work.

ive read through some threads now, even tried irc but i'm not getting anywhere.

when i tried to follow the instructions in dies post i encountered an error with "cp -Rf OpenGL.framework /System/Library/Frameworks/" - said something like it couldnt copy there.

is there any easy way of updating the gfx drivers? as in fool proof? is the geforce 250gts even supported? i am rather new to this (although i use osx86 10.5.2 - the kalyway install i think for quite a while now without any problems) but if anyone could point me in the right direction that would help too.

system specs:

CPU
Model Name: Mac
Model Identifier: System Product Name
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.13 GHz

GFX
I Can Has Model?:

VRAM (Total): 512 MB
Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de)

Revision ID: 0x00a2
ROM Revision: NVinject 0.2.0

(edit)
i just found out that video playback seems to have gone haywire too - vlc as well as quicktime crash when opened/trying to play a video
