Drop down menus are blank

I installed OS X on my computer today, using Kalyway 10.5.2. The first time I installed it on an old 20GB HD as a test, and everything went well. Then I installed it on a new WD 640GB SATA HD (two 320GB partitions). Things went well until I got to the part of the registration where I was going to use the computer for, the drop down menu was blank. Actually it works if you click in the blank space, well I got past this and finished the install. After the install, the drop down menus work briefly; flash information, and go blank. I can use them if I can guess where to click in the blank space. The drop down menus on the tabs and Apple logo are also blank. I don't know what I did different between the two installs.

I am hoping some one has experienced this, or knows what needs to be changed.

The system consist of Asus P5W DH Deluxe, Intel Q6600 Processor, 4GB OCZ Duel Channel DDR2 RAM, WD 640GB SATA HD, Samsung SATA DVD Burner, and a GeForce 9300GS 512MB Graphics Card.
