DVD Drive not reading DVD Discs (Physical Discs)

Hi there was having a bit of trouble with my SATA DVD Drives. I recently managed to install iPC 10.5.6 onto my custom PC (Specs Below). With the default SATA kext from the install my dvd drive doesn't read ANY sort of media, be it blank or burned. I tried a new applenforceata.kext by Modbin (i think). The discs read and am able to open burned discs. I tried to restore my snow leopard 10.6.0 retail disc to a partition but I get "Can't restore disc - input/output error"... Also I am unable to burn using this drive or any other...

The Drive works perfect for reading and burning discs as does any other drive.

Specs:

AMD Athlon II x4 640 3.0GHz
HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GSA-H73N
nForce 430 (MCP61) Chipset
4GB DDR3
Sapphire HD5670 1GB
80GB IDE HDD (I have a 500GB SATA Drive but current in use for windows. I DO NOT Dual Boot)
