Error saving the VNC password (Remote Management)

I'm getting the message "There was an error saving the VNC password" when trying to enable the VNC server (in System Preferences, Sharing, Remote Management, Computer Settings, VNC Viewers...")

The error in the system.log is "Feb 7 23:36:57 MacPro authexec[1219]: executing /System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/AppleVNCServer.bundle/Contents/Support/writesettings"

I'm running iPC (PPF2).

If you're reading this and don't know the answer, could you please try to set up the VNC server and let me know if you also get the error?

thanks.

I just installed XxX Leopard Universal 10.5.6 in another partition and that seems to solve my problem.

I don't know if it's something different about the installs or if it's a different kext that I chose as I don't remember all the options.
