I have now, currently, tried three seperate distros on this laptop, after realizing (of course) what a horrible newb I sounded like.
I've thusfar used the THREE following distributions:
1) KalyWay 10.5.2
2) Leo4ALL V4.1
3) iDeneB 10.5.5
I've tried the boot flags "-f -x -v" all separately, and then in combination, and then all three at once.
I've alsooooo tried booting with the command "rd=disk0s1 -v"
The hard drive is identified on 0, and the intended partition is partition 1, just for the record-so I know the command is correct.
With iDeneb and Leo4All, I get this following error:
"RTL8139::FixEnetFlowControl - Flowcontrol is Disabled"
Waiting for root device
Still Waiting for root device...etc.
AND I also get:
"FireWire unable to determine security-mode; defaulting to full-secure."
^I get that one with iDeneb.
With KalyWay, I get:
IOPCCardBride::Start Failed
"RTL8139::FixEnetFlowControl - Flowcontrol is Disabled"
"FireWire unable to determine security-mode; defaulting to full-secure."
I get all three.
SO, anybody wanna point me in a direction, help me, advise me? Maybe something I can do?
In the meantime, I've been going through hackintosh.org and also insanelymac to see what I can find.
