I hurt-I genuinely hurt!

newbie here so be gentle!

I'm desparate to install Leopard on my desktop!

I tried with iAtkos v1.0i but couldn't get anywhere with it!

Tried the iAtkos 5I and it 'seemed' to have worked - I got up to the 'Installation Complete' screen but when it resets after this it doesn't boot into the OS.

I've tried a few options in terms of the 'customize' screen but to be honest I have no idea!

Would REALLY appreciate any help whatsoever. Tell me what you need to know and I can tell you what you need to know.

In terms of hardware - I'm running a Prescott P4 on an ASRock board.

I'm not too bad with IT but I'm genuinely out of my depth here but hate giving up!

So many thanks in advance!

Just use iPC 10.5.6, it's a great distro and easy

iPC 10.5.6 Lenovo ThinkCentre M41 Pentium D -- VooDoo Kernel 9.5.0 Audigy 2 ZS Works!!. 7600GT EFI String (EFI Studio!).Everything works (ethernet, SATA, USB, IDE drives).

The ones for your computer setup. It's all documented in the installer.
For example, if you have a Core 2 Duo CPU, you can use the "vanilla" kernel. If you have a Pentium 4 or Pentium D or AMD chip, you need to use the Voodoo kernel option.

Good luck.

So is it more 'obvious' what I need to choose with this version?

Thanks for the help!

I don't know from your specs, and I don't want to spend my own time researching your chipset and configuration. Try different selections and see what works.

One other small tip, make sure you select during the install seatbelt.kext ONLY if you use the voodoo kernel.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the tip!

Think it's this kernel business I need to research!
