Well better then trying hundrets of fixes would be to do some hardware diagnostics - don't you agree? 
Get the package from my attachment, install it and run "sudo lspci -nn" command on the Terminal and post the line about your Ethernet controller.

Well as I wrote above - getting some cheap GeForce card on ebay might be the best solution.
