you have to give it a try and let us know what the results are. Results come after tests are performed. [edit]
Your motherboard uses an intel chipset so first try installing nothing else but the voodoo kernel. Worry about audio and video later. ![]() Last edited by nfoav8or; 01-27-2009 at 09:40 AM. |

This is NOT the first time I install a distro so please DON'T treat me like a newb! I tried installing with some settings but it never starts :| |

well I wouldn't phrase it like I did if I wasn't led to believe that you were asking for a step by step method... if you've installed from another distro then you would have an idea of what your system might need, right?
what configurations HAVE you tried? I'm not trying to be condescending, I'm trying to get a feel for where you are coming from with these questions... it helps me get a feel for how you want to be answered. ![]() Last edited by nfoav8or; 01-27-2009 at 09:42 AM. |

http://osx86.net/f5/gateway-will-not...se-read-t6040/ My thread about the same chipset
I have iPC and have tried so many other distros and have had no success. I will take nfoav8or suggestion and just try the kernel without anything else. I have read on insanleymac that this board is supported(Intel D865GLC) but you have to get the combonation. are your highest instruction(cpuz) ssse-2??? nfoav8or--Are you talking about the 9.2.0 kernel or the 9.5.0 kernel??
