Hi,

i finally got the nerve to start installing osx om my pc.
(GA-ep-ds3 board, q6600 quadcore, gigabyte 8600gt 256mb, 4 gig ram , 2x sata western digital 500gb)

found a great tutorial.
http://www.gadgetted.com/?p=573

got all the stuff. burned kalyway on dvd.. 3 times. using toast, discutility in osx

ive set my bios the same as in the tutorial
smiled... put in the dvd.... waited.. nothing... it wont recognise the dvd to boot from.

what can i be doing wrong? (apart from being too Noob for even trying to install osx on my pc)

thanks

do other bootable disks work? if they do then there is something wrong with the disk, did you burn it as an image? if other disks dont boot, i think it has something to do with your boot preferences and your dvd drive not being high in this list, of course there is the SATA problem which people have, its something about DVD's and computer not recognising them or something, but you will need to research it, i never had the problem so i never looked into it in detail. hope this helps
