Kernel Panic on Hp Pavilion Slimline s7700n

When I first installed iDeneb v1.3 10.5.5 my sound was scratchy and I couldn't watch movies. Upon installing Voodoo 1.0 all seemed to be fixed. Yet when I try to go to Printers in System Preferences I get a Kernel Panic and when I try to shut my machine down I get a kernel panic please someone tell me how to fix this.

[Edit] It takes about seven tries to get my machine to boot up I have to put in the "-f" boot flag for it to boot up and sometimes that doesn't even work. When I got to verbose mode it says disks01:data underrun

I also get a kernel panic when my machine is sleep. When before if my machine I would just lose my internet connection and my sound but i wouldn't get a kernel panic. I've also heard that Voodoo 9.6 is still very buggy. I'm using Voodoo 1.0 Rev A
