I installed OSX on my Acer Aspire 5050.
I boot and get a kernel panic.
When I boot with -v, I get the following message:

"Backtrace terminated-invalid frame pointer 0
Kernel loadable modules in backtrace (with dependences):
com.apple.driver.AppleEFIRuntime(1.1.0)@ (hexadecimal number) -> (a different hexadecimal number)

BSD process name corresponding to current thread: kernel_task

Mac OS version:
Not yet set"

The problem seems to be with EFI (which I did not install before installing the OS).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

open the iso with transmac in windows (show the hidden files) and navigate to /system/library/extensions and delete the kext, reburn the iso and boot with -f, good luck.

I don't see the extensions folder. I am in /system/;ibrary and It goes from "DTDs" to "Filesystems". There is no "extensions" folder.

there is only an "extensions.mkext" file.
I tried deleting that- reburning the ISO, and booting with -f (did not work).

if I boot with -x and -v I also get a line, which is highlighted, that says the following:
"Failed to load extension com.orByte.deiver.PCGenUSBEHCI."

sorry for posting so many times in the thread, but I want to give the proper information to solve this problem.

You have 10.5.2 rev1 not rev2. Download the rev2 or try to inject all the extensions folder in rev1. extensions

copy the folder into the /system/library and don´t forget delete the appleefi.... boot with -f
