Hi all
i'm having problems installing this version... Amd Phenom 9750 MB ABIT AX78 with Chipsets AMD 770/ SB600 RAM Corsair XMS2 DDR2 2Gb (2x1Gb) PC6400C4DHX GeForce 8800 GT Alpha Dog Edition randomly i can run the initial setup (sometimes it just hangs after loading the kexts) and after it says "calculing remaining time" i see a yellow sign and a message telling me that the os couldn't be installed... i tried all switches in any ways, but it's always the same any ideas?? |

check your com.apple.boot.plist in Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration and let me know if any boot flags (kernel flags) are set.
Have you run <a href="http://www.xbench.com/">Xbench</a> yet? Is the speed noticeable? I am not sure why it isn't recognizing it. I know the Mac Pro can have 8 cores (two quad cores) but they are Intel Xeon. I'm just guessing that they are all working just fine but not showing. OS X doesn't always look at your BIOS to tell it what it has available... if at all. try booting with <b>cpus=8</b> ;-) just for a laugh. ![]() |
