@waiflih
perhaps its how the drive was pepared in the first place is it a name brand system thats used some utility to prevent partition change????

If so use some drive tools form manufacturer eg seagate tools etc to wipe drive first. Then Osx should deal with it first

Hello,

Just installed LawlessPPC 10.5.4 and it works awesome. One thing that is bugging me is the when i right click an application in the dock that says "Assign Application to ===> TEMP" I have no idea what this is and its a annoyance. What is it? how do i remove it?

Solid release (and it's a beta!). My results are in the Yes thread.

Issues with my HP m9100z (Phenom, MCP61 nForce 430, 8400GS G98):
>Included forcedeth was never loaded (as in 'kextstat')
>Downloaded forcedeth 0.3 instantly hangs on kextload with some bus conflicts, requiring reset...using a tulip PCI for now.
>QE/CI is supported after adding GPU Device/Vendor ID to three kext 'Info.plist' files. Can this be added upstream?
>Audio driver package dependency was unclear during install; sound preferences are also unclear - all 4 outputs are named 'Line Out.'
>Sleep: Can't wake up; reset required.
>Boot takes >90 seconds after countdown until Dock slides up; system.log excerpt is attached.
>Xbench 'Disk Test' score is extremely low; this install gets a whole WD Raptor. Results are attached.
>lspci output is attached here and in the Yes thread

Hey,

Wondering if this will work or not. I am going to try it anyways.

Please look here for the output from PC Wizard, I've highlighted things to note, specifically that my chipset is an AMD 790FX, with sb600 IPX and a Marvell.
PC Wizard - Pastebin info

Take a look and let me know if anything is specific I have to do than choosing the proper kernels and patches.. I am already assuming it'll be a modbin 9.4 kernel (not sure if there are others)..

Also, I'm installed Kalyway 10.5.2, and the first time I did it, there was no problem detecting my onboard sound-card:
(Device Audio : IXP SB600 High Definition Audio Controller).. its a soundmax in windows.. but later installs it would not detect it.. not sure what I changed.. i don't think i did.. anyways..

I hope this will be enough for you.

Thank you so much for your work.
-DjHash

P.S. Will be downloading it tonight and seeding week on nights.. (EST)

Hi, i'm new here.. i'm still downloading

oh yeah.. about the sb600, i guess you can set AHCI mode in the bios.. it should work fine, once mac installed you can load the sb600 kext. it works for me with 10.5.1 ( only with SATA hard drive pair with SATA DVD drive )
since i upgraded to phenom, i havent try updating to 10.5.2 or 10.5.3
guess i'm gonna try the lawlessppc's 10.5.4 now ;p
my system is:
MSI K9A2 Platinum V1
AMD Phenom 9550
ATI 3850 512 mb
2 gb DDR2
