In my A8N-SLI I always had midi and game port active, and it always worked out of the box. Anyway, you should try, perhaps your motherboard gives different IRQ directions to ports.

EDIT: you're right!!!! it passed that error, and then gave me another one, SAM Multimedia Error. I've checked and it's related to a bad DVD, so I'll try again, damned toast!

I have exactly the same error as yours and still stucks at there now.

My error was to install from my HD, so I burned a DVD and it worked fine. Hope that's your problem too.
