backing up from a time machine backup doesn't reinstall the bootloader to your drive. Use your install DVD and let the time run out on the bootloader so it will auto-boot to your HD. Then reinstall chameleon to your HD and all should be well again. If you're getting bad results with osx86 tools utility, then I'd suggest manually installing the kexts... this way you KNOW what exactly is being done to your system and aren't allowing the mysterious "forces" from an app control this. weird things happen at times... bugs in the hackintosh world... don't assume it will happen every time with that software, but just be aware of what is being done to your computer.
