Question Problem installing

Hi!

I know that there are several similar threads to this one, but I have checked the
most of them and none of them leaves clear answers.

I have been trying to install Zephyroth Leopard-10.5.2-AMD-EFI-Rev2
on my AMD machine, but it gets an error after trying to do something with the Firewire, if relevant I can check what it states exactly.

I dont know exactly what info you need from my hardware to help me out,
but I have Everest so I can grab pretty much info if needed.

What I want to do is to install OSX on a IDE HDD with the capacity of 150 GB.
I would like to run dual boot so I could have both OSX and Win Vista.

If posible I could run Vista on another HDD that is a SATA and have multiple
OSX installations on the IDE HDD, so I could make images which I could load
up in case one of the installations crash.

So I have read lots and lots of guides but all of them requires pretty much of basic knowlige if everything does not work out of the box which is not my case.

So I have read about kexts, EFI and some other stuff but I really could not find a good and decent beginners manual that requires no basic knowlige.
Which results in that I do not know when to apply which method.

I have burned the boot disc with Nero on the slowest possible speed which was 4x I think and I burned it on a DVD+R.

My computer can read it and I get the loading window but it hangs after some time.
If i run the boot cd with the commands -f -v -x I can see that it gets an ERROR that has something to do with firewire, why I don't know since I don't use any firewire for my installation since the HDD is mounted in my computer and not in an external rack.

After the error it states that it is waiting for root device or maybe root service.

If read some common problems and it said something about replacing some kext files. What kext files, where do I find them and where do I put them?

Also can I have missed something else in maybe bios configurations or something else?

There seems to be like 1 million factors that needs to be considered and that is why I ask for some help!

Sorry for any misspellings or so, this is my first post!
