Problem with Sound and Lan on Acer Extensa 5220

Hello guys,

I cannot get my soundcard and my ethernet to work. Here are my specs:

- 15,4" WXGA Display
- Celeron M 530 - 1.73 GHz
- Intel Santa Rosa Chipsatz (Intel 965)
- Intel GMA X3100 Grafik
- 1Gb
- 80 GB S-ATA Seagate Momentus 5400 ST980811AS
- Wireless LAN Broadcom 54 MBit/s
- LG GSA-T20N 16x Multiburner DVD-RAM
- Card Reader SD/MMC/Memory Stick/Memory Stick Pro/XD Card
- Firewire
- 4x USB 2.0
- Gigabit LAN

I use Leo4all 10.5.2. The sound card is a Realtek HD, but i cannot find out which one. The lan card is not that important, because WLAN already works. (I´m typing this with my hackintosh ). You cannot imagine how happy I am at the moment, that my pc runs os x(just a few more months, than I´ll buy a real one )
Hope you can help me.

Take care

Welcome to Infinitemac forum dude, we're glad its all (heh more or less) workig fine for you ;-)

Try to find in Mac, or in Windows, vendor and device id of your sound chip. Probably its an ALC one just find out which one. Go to Control Panel->Device Manager Realtek and then under properties.advanced or something look for dev/ven ID (its a long string). Also search for your ethernet information, i assume its a laptop so you can look for its detailed specifications; once you have it the rest goes pretty smoothly :-)

Thx for the warm welcome.
For the soundcard it says: Device ID: 0x1025011F
I´m still looking for the ethernet card, because the device name is not even in the manual. When I´ve found it i´ll post it.

take care
