Problems with 10.5.4 (Leo4allv4.1) on HP dv2416

I posted this on another forum and haven't gotten any help, so I'll try here. Thanks in advance for any help.

My latpop is:

HP dv2416

AMD Turion x2

GeForceGO 6150 video card

Broadcom4312 wi-fi

NForceLan

CoxenantHD Audio

I've installed Leo4All4.1 and it seems ok. Put in the kexts to get display to 1280X800. Have a few issues though:

1. Can't boot without a flag. Sometimes I have to use -f, sometimes -s, sometimes -f -x -v cpus=1. I can NEVER boot without the disk in the drive. Why and how do I fix it? I want it to boot up like a normal OS should. *Got it to boot without install DVD in drive, still need flag though...*

2. Wi-Fi and Ethernet do not show up. I installed NvidiaForceEthernet.kext and still nothing. This will be pointless without internet access. I found this: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/ind...howtopic=51725 and will be trying that out in a few. Any tips in the meantime? *Got ethernet working, still no wi-fi....*

3. Sometimes my laptop just shuts down. I've been super hard on her and she's gonna die soon, just want to be sure that it's not maybe something wrong with OsX. *For some reason trying to adjust the trackpad/keyboard/mouse settings causes system preferences to quit also. Then the machine starts acting weird...*

Here's what I chose in customize for Leo:

Quote:
*Used MacOS Extended Journaled & MBR for single partition
Chipset
---- NForce Test
---- VIA SIS Marvell & SB Chipset Driver (not sure if necessary)
- Audio
---- AzaliaAudio & AC97 or somet..
- Graphics (NO DRIVERS SELECTED) - None of the options work for the GeForce Go 6150
- Network
---- Broadcom & ForceDeth
- Remove Firewire
- "About this Mac"
- StageXNU kernel
- SMBIOS - Netkas
- ACPIPlatform 1.1.0
- EFI Bootloader
I feel like I'm so close to having this working properly it's driving me nuts!! I also can't boot without hitting esc and choosing a drive to boot from. If I try to let it go straight through without doing that I get a message saying somet like, "System can't find com.apple.boot.plist". That's driving me nuts too. I tried to install Chameleon RC3 the other day, but would then only get the boot0 and startup and couldn't get anything else so I just reinstalled Leo. Any tips or pointer or answers would be very appreciated. Cheers!

Have you tried to install just the 9.2 kernel instead of StageXNU? Try without a bootloader but remember to boot with the DVD.

Thanks for the reply! Been looking for days and all I've gotten is thread views...I'll try it again now with 9.2 only. What do you mean no bootloader and boot w/DVD? Like boot w/dvd in drive?

Sorry, I wasn't very clear. If you are reinstalling, do not select/install EFI bootloader and anything related to EFI. I believe there is something about non-EFI things at the bottom of customization. When successful, you can install Chameleon rc3 as a bootloader.
