Me again, I think I might have found a solution for getting you Wifi to work.

I downloaded the Netgear driver pkg and had a look at it's content, what I found was RTL8187Bl.kext

So why not trying to get it working by using the RTL8187B Driver by Realtek?
The stuff needed for trying my idea you can get here.

First you should remove that Netgear stuff by executing "NETGEAR Uninstall.command" Then just install Realtek Driver package. If that doesn't work you may try to delete RTL8187Bl.kext and apply the RTL8187Bt.kext from the Netgear package instead. Editing the kext doesn't seem necessary as Device and Vendor IDs mach.

I hope this will help you.
Otherwise I recommend WLAN stuff with BCM4318 or BCM4311 Chipset I can confirm out of my own experience, that these work great with OS X.

edits:
The wireless driver installed ok (i uninstalled the other one first, that was a bit weird but finished up ok), however when i ran it from the applications it just bounced on the dock and nothing showed up... rather strange. i searched using airport and no access points came up.
Regarding changing the other boot.plist file, how can i Access the /Extra directory? Lol I cant find it :P I fail haha.

Also,
Can i set the ctrl key to work as the cmd key?
Why, when i ran an uninstall command and it asked me for the root password, did it say it was incorrect, even after i made sure that it was the right password? i was then able to uninstall the thing by repeatedly clicking ctrl-c (to dismiss). I enabled the root account and then tried it with 2 passwords, it always said it was incorrect.

Wifi

I have the same wifi adapter and I have got it to work on my iAtkos setup. The way I got it to work was by first starting up the Netgear tool and then Connecting my wifi adapter into the usb, then go to System Preferences > Network. Click on the + in the in the left hand panel and choose your Interface as the Ethernet Adapter (en2) or (en3).

Here's the tricky part, select your connection type as DHCP and enter your router address and click apply. OSX should start connecting to the router and will get you assigned an IP. If your network needs a key use the Netgear utility to create a profile of your network and save the password in the profile.

Let me know if that works for you...
