I have a Canon Pixma MP830 and the printer was working fine with the Gutenprint Drivers. I was wondering, since there is 230mb update in my software update, should I install the newer drivers? Or is there a risk to that? Thanks.

Printer drivers should be safe to update, as I have updated my HP Laserjet that way, it was not supported by the Gutenprint drivers anyways.

Same I updated my drivers for epson acculaser, minor updates hardly ever seem to cause problems
