So many woes on G31M3-L V2 mobo
Thinking back on the success I had with OS X on my old Dell laptop ages ago, I thought I'd try to see how well it ran on my new desktop...
So far I've been fighting this for days - scouring multiple forums, google, and I'm getting to be at my wits end. First off, my system is: MSI G31M3-L V2 motherboard. 4 gigs ram. nVidia GeForce 9500 w/1 gig 2 SATA hard drives (1 for Vista, the other was going to be dedicated to OSX) SATA DVD-burner I first started with both iaktos v.7 and iPC - and both of them just reboot almost immediately, even after changing every BIOS setting I've been able to search up (enable/disable XD, enable/disable set_max_cpu, etc.) My ancient Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD boots just fine and even installs - but on reboot with -v it fails everytime at: Code:
MAC framework successfully initialized using 16384 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers From my continued searching it's starting to seem that either a modified BIOS or doing the DSDT thing are going to be my only hope? Am I missing something blatantly obvious or am I just SOL? |
